Zane Smith, PT, MPT, OCS, Cert. DN

Owner

Zane is a native of the northwest and grew up in east Portland. He graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2003 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. He also has a BS in Human Biology. Zane believes that regardless of where the patient receives PT it must be comprehensive; encompassing not only tools to treat inflammation and pain, soft tissue dysfunction, muscle imbalances and specific weakness as well as overall functional limitations, but also enhancing the patients ability to treat themselves and continue to thrive on an independent basis. In addition to treating orthopedic conditions his other professional interests include the management of chronic headaches to include migraines as well as other chronic pain conditions. When not in the clinic Zane loves to spend time with his wife Leslie and their two children at home in Washington. They enjoy snow skiing, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities. Zane and Leslie are heavily involved in their community and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Dina Peganoff, PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT, Cert. DN

Physical Therapist Director

Dina is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists and a Certified Manual Therapist through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. She also completed an Orthopedic and Clinical Residency Program accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy in 2019. Dina is currently a Fellow in Training in manual and orthopedic physical therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Dina recently achieved Certification and WA state endorsement in Dry Needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. She is certified in Vestibular and Concussion Disorders through the American Balance Institute. Dina enjoys treating patients of all ages to help them to achieve overall health. Dina has an interest in the treatment of spinal disorders, vestibular disorders, TMD, headaches, and general orthopedic injuries. She utilizes a variety of manual therapy techniques in combination with therapeutic exercise to provide complete patient care. Outside of work, Dina enjoys gardening, playing golf, paddle boarding, skiing and is an alumni member of the Mount Hood Ski Patrol.

Raz N., PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Raz N. is a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant who is passionate about helping individuals regain their mobility, strength, and confidence through personalized therapy plans. With a solid background in fitness and rehabilitation, he aims to empower his patients on their journey to recovery. Having kicked his first soccer ball, fitness has enriched Raz’s life for over 25 years, even after undergoing spinal surgery in 2016. This experience has taught him the importance of disciplined actions in achieving desired outcomes, fueling his mission to help others become their most confident, and self-assured selves. In addition to his professional qualifications, which include an Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assistance and certifications as a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and a National Council on Strength and Fitness Certified Personal Trainer.

Raz brings a diverse set of interests to his practice. He enjoys outdoor activities like camping and hiking, as well as engaging in soccer. Traveling and experiencing different cultures enriches his perspective, and he enjoys cooking nutritious meals that support an active lifestyle. Raz believes that everyone can benefit from physical therapy and tailors his approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

His goal is to create a supportive and motivating environment where his patients can thrive. Every day, he strives to share his experience, passion, and integrity, working with those who are equally optimistic and dedicated to discovering the rewards and challenges of physical therapy. He looks forward to being a part of his patients’ journeys toward achieving their health goals.

Sy L., PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Sy has worked as a physical therapist assistant in outpatient settings since 2019, where he is most interested in the science of pain and meeting people where they are apt to facilitate adaptation and healing. He was born and raised in New York, pursued a bio-engineering degree in Pasadena, CA, and has worked as a researcher, patent agent, martial arts teacher, professional tutor, and bartender. Sy and his wife moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2016 and settled in the Kerns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, where they enjoy cooking, reading, gaming, and arguing about philosophy and aesthetics.

Assistant Office Manager/Lead Front Office

Susanna has been part of the Timberline team since August 2009 working at the front desk and occasionally as the Physical Therapy tech. She earned her Bachelor’s in Health Science from Linfield University – Portland Campus in 2009. At work she enjoys seeing patients realize their progression and potential in physical therapy. She also enjoys the team work atmosphere from her co-workers. In her spare time, you can find Susanna hanging out with her husband at a live music concert or spending time with friends, family and their dogs Leia and Windu.

Front Desk/Physical Therapy Technician

Lilly joined Timberline in 2022 after earning her Bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University in 2021. She studied Kinesiology with a Pre-Healthcare specialization, and enjoys being a part of a team that encourages and supports all of their patients. In the clinic you can find Lilly either in the front office or assisting patients as a Physical Therapy tech. Outside of work she enjoys painting, reading, and spending time outside with friends and family.

Ashly Nakao

Billing Specialist

Moved to Vancouver from Honolulu, HI where I was the office manager for an occupational therapy clinic specializing in hand injuries/conditions. I started there as the receptionist and have learned all aspects of the front office/back-office position including billing. I graduated in 2003 from Oregon State University and am excited to have made a return to the Pacific Northwest. In my spare time I love playing volleyball, bowling, cooking, and baking.

Great facility with great staff providing quality care in a warm friendly environment. I sought treatment for a painful Achilles Tendon calcium spur that interrupted my snowboarding season. My podiatrist said surgery was my only option. Timberline offers Shockwave therapy and dry needle treatment. After 2 visits I was back shredding and finished my season almost pain free. Now, after my full course of treatment the calcium spur is fully broken up and reabsorbed allowing me to fully return to sports pain free and I seem to have avoided a costly surgery with a long debilitating recovery. The entire crew is top notch and a real saviour for my snowboarding season. I am so grateful and highly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about Timberline Camas Physical Therapy. From the moment I walk in, everyone was kind, encouraging and genuinely makes me feel cared for. Recovery can be frustrating, especially when every day doesn’t look the same, but they listen, adjust to what my body can handle that day, and continue to encourage me along the way. What I appreciate most is that I never feel like just another appointment. The entire team creates such a positive, welcoming environment there’s usually some laughter mixed in with the hard work, which makes a huge difference. I was in a MVA last month and have had terrible pain and limited range of motion in my right arm. I received a referral to another physical therapy office but couldn't get it. Timberline got me in right away. My first visit was yesterday and I was so impressed with every member of their staff. They are kind, very responsive, listen to your concerns, quick to formulate a plan for your recovery, are very patient and professional. 100% recommend if you are ever in need or physical therapy.

I had the best care and experience here at this clinic! I sought care for neck and shoulder pain secondary to years of computer work, where I have developed extremely bad posture and was having extensive daily pain. I knew this pain had taken years to develop and was now going to take years to correct and did not even know where to begin, the team at Timberline gave me the tools, knowledge and targeted care plan that I needed to begin to fix this problem and develop the muscle strength and correct posture to become pain free. Still on the path to that pain feee day, but I was so grateful for this care team and the tools I now have to get there!

After being diagnosed with osteoporosis and treated by a physical therapist that made it worse I was thrilled to find Dina and the team at Timberline Physical Therapy. They are very knowledgeable, empathetic and worked with me to avoid creating other complications. Had to go here because of tendinitis in my wrist and could barely pick up anything on my own or touch it. After two months of consistent therapy, I’m able to pick up things with my wrist and feel strong again. I’m SO grateful for all of the staff here who are top notch humans. The staff truly made the experience something I looked forward to, and they were incredibly kind, considerate, and so knowledgeable. Highly recommend 10/10 🫶🏼

I fell at work and fractured my tibial plateau. I ended up having to have surgery. I started at Timberline a little over a month ago after I graduated from at home PT. I started working with Dina who is the PT. She is so attentive and understanding of my underlining conditions (heart/kidney recipient, Hemophiliac, and osteoporosis.) I’m not your average patient. Lol. She helps adapt the exercises to make me successful. She also listens to what I have to say. The PT assistants, Sy and Raz are encouraging too. They’re really friendly, and take the time to ask questions about what I can and can’t do. When I’m there I feel like more than just a client. They really want me to get better and back to my fighting strength. Plus, they love talking about food too. The techs, Cara and Brittany are always great too. They’re always running around helping and their stories are great too. Susana and Lily are the front office staff and they are very nice and helpful. They both work really hard behind the scenes with insurance companies and doctors to get everything set up for your visits. Plus, they laugh at my jokes too. If you’re ever needing PT for anything go to Timberline physical therapy. I highly recommend them. I’m so grateful to have them all on my team. You can never have enough good people in your corner rooting for you to succeed!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Timberline. From the moment I walked in, the staff and physical therapists were incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my recovery. I came in with ongoing shoulder issues that were affecting my daily life, and I left with significantly more mobility, far less pain, and a customized set of exercises tailored to help strengthen my shoulder and prevent future injuries. The team took the time to understand what I was going through, adjusted treatment as needed and offered additional services (like dry needling which was incredibly helpful!), and made sure I felt confident and supported every step of the way. You can tell they truly care about their patients and their progress. If you’re looking for a physical therapy clinic that combines professionalism, compassion, and results-- I highly recommend Timberline Physical Therapy. Big time thanks to everyone there!!

The crew was great, Deana is one of the best PT people I’ve ever met! The only downside is they have three warm-up bikes, two of them have batteries that don’t work so on your warm-up, you cannot put any load on them even small. I asked if they could fix it, even offered to do it myself if they supply a battery but they’d have to run it up to the owner. It seems very lame and cheap to Charge us and our insurance company very good money and have your two of your three exercise bikes not working properly. The money coming in one to two hours would probably pay for a complete bike. Otherwise, I would’ve given them a five Star
