When Kaiser made my PT appointments over a month apart from each other I turned to finding another option. The Portland Therapydia clinic was able yo get me in 2 days after calling and twice the following week. Working with Joe the clinic director has been core to my recovery. His knowledge and educated approach met and exceeded any expectations I could have. He was extremely adaptive to however I was feeling, while continuously pushing me towards improvement. This is an excellent PT clinic. My PT, Olivia, is so skilled and knowledgeable.  She has helped me so much and has been so encouraging and that helps a lot when you are dealing with pain. I'm a little sad that today's session at Therapydia will be my last. My therapist, Rachael Chao has been kind, knowledgeable, supportive and professional, so she's greatly facilitated my recovery from TKR surgery.  I could not be more happy with her care. A few sessions with her colleagues have been equally great.  And I could not fail to mention San Tan, who works the phone and front desk. I could not recommend this place enough. They ride the perfect balance of being friendly and chill while being absolute professionals and providing a top-shelf care. I worked with the Burnside location for months, and I would like to sing the praises of both Olivia (my Physical Therapist) and San (the office manager) at the Burnside location! Honestly one of the things I loved about the Burnside location in general is that it seems like the whole crew is friendly, fun, and supportive of each other. I love being treated somewhere with a great interpersonal vibe and I would feel happy to work with any of the providers! But I was initially booked with Olivia, and having done my PT work with her consistently, I am pretty convinced that PT is magic and Olivia is a magician. I love the way Olivia explains things so that I can understand them (I am pretty sure she uses skills she developed with children to explain things to me like I'm 5... but without being at all patronizing). She is always able and willing to pivot to the additional questions I have and then fold in her knowledge of me to explain or phrase things EVEN BETTER next time. (I had so many questions. Thank you for putting up with me, Olivia.) I personally struggle a lot with calibration and she has been so so good at fielding my concerns and making me feel more confident about my home practice in the process. San, the office manager, is literally the sweetest human being in the whole universe. He is welcoming, responsive, and so kind. When he first reached out to me in response to my referral, he didn't know this but I was having a very difficult time and was extremely anxious in general about my health  and my pain. San made me feel not only calmer and taken care of, but also excited to come in for my first visit. San makes you feel like you deserve to have his full attention at all times, answers every question as thoroughly as possible, and when he doesn't know he offers to look it up and get back to you. And then he does! If I were independently wealthy, I would hire these people to be my personal care team. As it is, I will be talking up my love of them to every doctors office and PT-needing patient I know.

Highly Recommend Carlee Martin at Therapydia! I recently came to Therapydia with significant knee pain that developed after a table tennis session, and I couldn't be happier with the care I received from Carlee Martin. From my first appointment, Carlee demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skill. She didn't just treat the symptom; she quickly helped me understand the exact cause of the pain, which was incredibly reassuring. She then developed a customized and practical series of exercises that were perfectly tailored to my needs. I felt comfortable and motivated throughout the process, and the results speak for themselves. After just five weeks of following her plan, my pain is resolved, and my knee feels stable and strong. This office is special. It’s not often you find a PT where everyone, and I mean everyone, is friendly, punctual, respectful, knowledgeable and present. I worked with this location for a couple months and they were consistently very pleasant and easy to work with. Everybody in this office are operating at rockstar level. San is the friendliest, most outgoing man I think I’ve ever met. His charisma has the power to completely dissolve a bad mood. Rachel is literally healing me, and she consistently shows that she’s incredibly invested in what she does. I’ve had two back-to-back car accidents that totaled both cars each time and compounded with a serious family emergency, so I’m struggling in many ways. When I come into PT with Rachel, I feel the physical relief as well as the mental load lessening. I'm so happy that my Dr. recommended Therapydia. Staff member, San Tun, and P.T., Rachel Chao have made such a difference in helping me recover and regain my strength. San at the front desk is welcoming, kind and has a great personality. He is a great help in coordinating and scheduling. Rachel has designed a solid recovery program for me which has been accurate and perfect. Within a few visits I've restored my strength physically and emotionally. I recently went through a series of physical therapy sessions with Rachel at Therapydia on Burnside. I had been bothered by hip and leg pain that was negatively impacting my sleep over several months. Rachel developed a treatment program for me and helped me progress, and she was super knowledgeable and encouraging along the way. I tried another PT provider before going to Therapydia and I am so glad I didn't let my first bad experience put me off of PT permanently. The staff at Therapydia have many wonderful qualities: they are skilled, they communicate clearly, they are friendly and they are kind. I worked with Rachel at this location and she very patiently guided me through a comprehensive set of exercises to help recover from a bulging disc in my lumbar spine. Carlee DPT at Therapydia is an extremely knowledgeable and qualified professional.   She is able to explain what is going on in a way that makes sense and is easy to understand, and when I bring in questions she always has  valuable potential solutions to offer.  At every session she is thorough and prepared with the next steps.  Her positive attitude is a huge bonus!   We have been working together for a few months now, and I could not be more pleased.
