Bailey Allen, ATC, LAT | Athletic Trainer

Bailey received her Masters of Athletic Training from the University of Idaho in 2022. Bailey believes in using a holistic approach in addition to therapeutic exercise, taping, manual therapies and muscle energy techniques to help aid in the treatment of pain and improve function. Bailey enjoys treating patients of all ages, but has a special place in her heart for the athletic population. She believes everyone is an athlete whether on the field, in their work space or completing daily activities. She is dedicated to getting people back to the things they enjoy most in life! In her free time, Bailey likes to enjoy local coffee shops, spend time with her friends, family and dogs and loves to adventure out all over the PNW. She is a native Oregonian who grew up right in the heart of Gresham. She loves the community and is excited to be a part of its ongoing growth.

After years of working in the financial industry, I realized it wasn’t a good fit and that I wanted to be in a profession where I could engage with people while improving their everyday lives. Having always enjoyed athletics and being fascinated by the human body, I quit my financial consulting job to pursue a career in physical therapy.

I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University in Northern California. For the past 14 years, I have practiced physical therapy in a variety of settings: acute care, home health, concierge, and orthopedic outpatient. With a special interest in athletics, my mission is to help patients navigate through injury and guide them back to their sport.

What I enjoy most about my job is educating patients and empowering them to take ownership of their health and fitness. Being a physical therapist is like being a coach, and coaching my patients to reach their goals brings a type of satisfaction that is hard to find in any other career.

Originally from Philadelphia (Go Eagles!) and after spending 15 years living and working in San Francisco, my family and I relocated to Portland in 2019. We love the 4 seasons and appreciate the pace of life.

Staying active and exercising is a non-negotiable for me. I also love traveling and outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. But my biggest love is combat sports. I am a Brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner (9 years) and an avid martial arts enthusiast.
